MEET YOUR COACH
With more than 20 years experience living and working in Ibiza as a DJ, Music Producer and Ableton Live Instructor, Heath is able to give his students a unique perspective and insight into the world of Electronic Music.
Heath's musical journey started in the mid 90's with house and techno music in his home town of Adelaide, South Australia. A weekly night out clubbing with a group of mates would later become the catalyst to start DJing. As soon as Heath discovered he could play music and make others dance, he knew what he wanted to do with the rest of his life.
Over a career spanning more than 20 years, Heath honed his craft amongst the best there is, playing alongside the likes of Carl Cox, Sasha, Hernan Cattaneo, Fat Boy Slim and many more. A career that earned him features in Decoded Magazine, Ibiza Spotlight and Resident Advisor, and radio appearances on Australia's T1000 Radio.
After playing other people's music for many years, it was only a matter of time before Heath felt the desire to produce his own. After a brief period working in Logic, he made the switch to Ableton Live — the DAW he felt most creative and comfortable using. With the support of some of the world's best DJs and producers, Heath has released music on influential labels such as Yoshitoshi, Toolroom, Monique, Wiggle and many more.
Always looking to the future, Heath began in 2014 teaching private Ableton Live lessons to fellow DJs looking to produce their own music. In 2018 he joined Point Blank Music School's Ibiza campus as their Ableton Live Music Production Instructor, responsible for teaching both beginner and advanced modules and reworking their curriculum.
During his time as an Ableton trainer, Heath has worked with hundreds of students, helping them develop their skills and reach their full potential. In 2020 he founded Learn from Ho(l)me as a way to connect with students around the world.
Entirely self-taught, Heath knows only too well the challenges one faces when learning to produce music. He has built a reputation as an instructor who cares — one who goes the extra mile to help his students achieve success.
Recent times have seen Heath dedicate a large portion of his time to new music projects, including the design and creation of sample packs and instrument presets for labels such as Abstract and Undrgrnd Sounds.
